I am a freelance illustrator under the name “w0bblybits“. I create artwork that inspires women and young girls to be their authentic selves. I create work surrounding the beauty industry and debunk myths regarding women’s health. I have developed this into workshops with university students for them to create art about their bodies and the power they hold. I regularly attend craft fayres/art markets to sell my work alongside my website and have worked with clients such as TATE galleries to create illustrations for their social media pages.

I’ve always had a passion for artwork and I noticed throughout my time at University I was getting drawn into feminism as a subject matter. I started looking at art as activism and I knew I wanted to use my talents to go towards a greater purpose. I believe I have a strong voice and message that is translated through my work.

I am inspired by lots of feminist artist and writers such as The Guerrilla Girls, Tracey Erin, Florence Given and Dr Jen Gunter. They all have powerful voices/messages and aren’t afraid to put themselves out there.

I love being able to plan what I do and what I create and not have to answer to someone else. I feel like the possibilities are endless and I have so many ideas that I want to create at once! I feel incredibly lucky to be able to pursue my passion and even love the “boring“ tasks such as book-keeping and tax returns because I’m doing it for a job I’ve wanted for the longest time.
