I am 20 years of age, from Pontardawe (near Swansea) in South Wales. I went to Cwmtawe Comprehensive School and then to Gorseinon College where I started my first business by identifying that college students were bored as they were too old for blue light discos but too young to go to over 18 adult nightclubs. I decided to start my own events company putting on events specifically for college students which were a great success, selling out every event we put on. We started off at a venue holding 250 people and then moved to a venue to hold 700 and continued to sell out. We had individuals from across the country asking us to bring our parties closer to them as they had heard via social media how good they were so we started events in North Wales and we also sold out them. We also had guests like previous XFactor contestants and also reality TV stars.

I left Gorseinon college and joined the first ever Entrepreneurship Academy run by Gower College Swansea. I then opened my second business, an event catering business with my own food trailer selling pasta with fresh sauces. I catered for Swansea big start up weekend last year and we have since diversified into other foods and we cater for clients such as HSBC bank. Currently I have stopped the events as I have taken over my own pub/hotel in Brecon however I am still running my catering business.

I am extremely passionate about getting more young people into business. My friends always ask me how I have managed to open businesses at my age and for some reason people are scared of even thinking about their own business as if it’s something they’ll never be able to do. However, as long as you have a passion to do something you can always learn how.

I would love to help motivate people to start a business and to not be scared. I’m no expert but like I have said I would love to motivate and inspire and even help more young people to start businesses.
