I'm Leah and I have a confession - I prefer dogs to people. I mean I love my work with young people, but my best friend is a chocolate Labrador and he is the most beautiful creature inside and out. I give talks, run workshops, blog, and write for the Huffington Post on all things related to young people's wellbeing and mental health. One of my favourite ways to share my message though is through my podcast, where I tell little stories about my dog Quincy and how he has been my secret partner in helping young people feel happier and healthier. My other love in life is music. It is my go to thing if I want to change my mood. I play the harp and thanks to my lovely friend who bribed me to play Metallica at her wedding a few years ago, I now regularly play at weddings, which is so much fun. I'm also partial to the odd rave, but now struggling to keep partying til 4am, I prefer the morning rave scene where I can eat up the dance floor from 9am, have a bit of lunch, take the beast for a stroll and be home in time to watch 'Strictly' in my pj's. When I'm not hanging out with the hound, you will find me supporting young people to become their own best friend. I love sharing my positive vibes and teaching them simple ways they can take care of their happiness and wellbeing.
