Our services raise awareness of entrepreneurship and help young people understand the skills and attitudes needed to succeed and enable them to get an insight into what it would be like to start a business.
They encourage creative thinking and an opportunity to reflect on career aspirations.
These services provide support for those young people interested in starting a business to discuss and develop their ideas and give them the support needed during the early stages of business start up.
These services are aimed at students in College, University and youth and community groups who work with young people outside education.
The Big Ideas Wales campaign also promotes these opportunities directly to young people under 25.

Enterprise Troopers National Primary School Competition
Entrepreneurship starts at primary school and this competition develops entrepreneurial skills in children in a lively and enjoyable way, whilst providing teaching resources to help you along the way.
Global Entrepreneurship Challenge (GEC)
A dynamic 24 hour competition for students in further education to work against the clock and come up with winning business ideas against a set brief and pitch their business plan to entrepreneurs.
Big Ideas Wales Challenge
Our flagship Challenge searches for 16-24 year olds who have the talent, drive and commitment to put their business ideas on the fast track to success. Following selection young entrepreneurs will be supported through the first 12 months of starting a business, benefitting from a dynamic business boot camp, support from Welsh entrepreneurs to nurture their talent and accelerate growth potential.

Expert Advice and Information:
For those who are serious about starting, we host a six hour support package which includes one to one support and workshops from professional business advisors, mentoring from entrepreneurs and a range of online resources.
We will complement the work of Enterprise Champions in every college and university in Wales who help students develop their skills and signpost them to any support available.
