Brexit Resilience Fund

The Welsh Government has formally launched a £6 million Brexit Resilience Fund which is available to Welsh businesses, to help them adapt to the changes in a post-Brexit Welsh economy. This fund builds on the success of the previous Welsh Government Brexit Resilience fund, delivered by Business Wales.

£5m of loan funding will be available from the Development Bank of Wales to support businesses with capital investment projects and £1m capital grant fund administered through Business Wales will be co-invested as an integrated offer alongside the Development Banks loan.

Business Wales is offering eligible businesses the opportunity to apply for funding of between £10,000 and £50,000 up to 20% of project costs.

The grant is offered in conjunction with a loan from the Development Bank of Wales.

The Brexit Resilience Fund aims to:
  • develop capacity
  • improve processes
  • retain competitiveness
  • safeguard jobs
  • guarantee the trade flows between Wales and the rest of the world
If you have a project in mind that would help you build resilience and cope with the changes you may face post Brexit, this fund may be for you.

For more information on the fund, please download the relevant guidance notes and application forms below. If you meet the criteria and wish to apply, please contact Business Wales on 03000 6 03000 where you will be put in touch with an adviser to complete the application process.

The Brexit Resilience Fund is open to applications up to 28th February 2020, funds permitting. Funding will be required to be drawn down and completed by 31st March 2020.
