Success stories

CVS Technical Limited

CVS Technical Limited

Business Wales have been of great support to me during the start-up of my company and continually check in with me. As a young disabled person, they have signposted me to lots of advisors that understand me, my condition, and my goals for my business.

The support Business Wales has given me has allowed me to take this massive step at only 22, and I don’t think my business would have come to fruition without them.

Caitlyn Sheldon wanted to set up an IT consultancy company including computer repairs, small business support and IT training for people who struggle with their technology, such as older people, business owners, or people re-entering the job market.

She attended one of our Starting Your Business Webinars and worked with a business advisor to develop a Business Plan and Cash Flow Forecast for her proposed business.

Caitlyn was able to use her Business Plan and Cash Flow Forecast to successfully apply for the Barriers To Start Up Grant.

This has assisted her to start her business, CVS Technical Limited, which she now works on a full-time self-employed basis.

Additionally, Caitlyn has signed up to our Equality & Diversity and our Green Growth Pledges to improve business practices and create an all-inclusive service for her clients.

She will also use recycling companies that specialise in IT equipment to ensure it is being recycled correctly.
