Taste of Turner is a Caribbean inspired cuisine which launched in August 2020, the idea first came about whilst Simon Turner’s mental health had taken a turn for the worst. With a passion for cooking food from his heritage and coincidentally finding a box in his attic full of recipe cards from Saint Lucia, Simon’s business idea started to piece together.
After trading commenced, his business advisor provided guidance and support on running and growing the business. A clear business plan and strategy for growth was established, and Simon was introduced to the Start-up Loans Company for financial support.
Simon is also committed to the Green Growth Pledge by using recyclable packaging, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting local community events and activities.
With such raving reviews and success, Taste of Turner is looking to expand the business with a potential fixed premises in Penarth.
