Starting as a hobby out of their home kitchen, Adam Lewis and his wife Kirsty Lewis launched Thornbush Hill Ltd in 2016, providing custom designed candles, wax melts and diffusers. Their business organically grew since they first launched, operating two retail premises, a website, working with stockists and a team of Thornbush Hill Brand Advocates across the UK. 

They looked to successfully grow Thornbush Hill even further and heading into a tough economic climate, they sought the help and expertise of Business Wales. Adam was supported by a knowledgeable advisor who helped to develop the business plan and financial forecasting. He was then referred to a HR advisor as Adam was keen to ensure he was managing the health and wellbeing of his staff well. 

With the support from his HR advisor, Adam signed up to the Equality pledge, where he will develop a company handbook, to act as a guide for the company's policies and procedures. He also signed up to the Green Growth Pledge, highlighting the business’s drive to be environmentally friendly by using a 100% plant-based wax in the candles, using recycled packaging and removing single-use plastic from the business.
