The Ceredigion Destination Partnership was formed in 2012 to create a working structure for tourism in the county. One of the first duties of the partnership was to develop the management plan and to agree the action plan for the destination.

The Ceredigion Tourism Strategy identified 4 strategic objectives which form the backbone of the destination management plan.

The plan is aligned with the focus points from the Welsh Government Partnership for Growth strategy. The objectives are:

  1. To encourage more visitors to Ceredigion.
  2. To invest in a quality product.
  3. To invest in a skilled tourism workforce.
  4. To adopt realistic performance indicators for tourism.
