In November 2010, Conwy County Borough Council published a destination management vision for Conwy. To help them to achieve this vision, they set up a group with a range of different representatives from the tourism sector across Conwy county. This group meet up regularly to develop and deliver Conwy's tourism plans. The  management group representatives are elected at the wider tourism forum.

This management group, also known as Destination Conwy is now one of Wales' most established destination partnerships. They have recently published a new Destination Conwy Management Plan which sets out their priorities from 2015-2018.

The plan is very much aligned with Visit Wales' Partnership for Growth strategy, which aims to achieve a growth in tourism earnings in Wales by 10% or more by 2020. This will mean working with iconic, high quality reputational changing products and events. It focuses on more high quality heritage hotels and spas, more all year round events, attractions and activities and a distinctive cultural experience for visitors. The plan is also very mindful of the community in Conwy. Destination Conwy believe that 'making Conwy a great place to live will make it a great place to visit.'

Conwy recently secured £50,000 funding from Visit Wales for 2015/16 through the Regional Tourism Engagement Fund. This funding will help the partnership to deliver parts of their destination plan.
