Property in Central Cardiff
Cardiff is London’s nearest neighbouring capital but with Grade A office rental costs that are less than 50% of the average London rates.
But a lower property cost doesn’t mean you have to compromise on space: we are promoting and facilitating the development of Grade A office accommodation with supportive infrastructure throughout the Zone.
Power supplies won’t be an issue for you in Cardiff as the city continues to grow, either: our resilient power infrastructure and support means our utilities are geared for the most power-hungry businesses.
In fact, over 52,000m² (560,000ft²) of new and redeveloped office space got underway in the Zone’s first three years alone, with more to follow at five key sites.
The Welsh Government is supporting this development activity directly – we currently own a development site to the south of Callaghan Square and a Grade A office building at the Capital Quarter, for example.
This means that more accommodation and major infrastructure improvements are coming on stream quickly, including Grade A offices, residential properties and retail space and a new public transport interchange.

We’ve also accelerated planning processes here. As a devolved Government, we have made legislative changes, and the private sector-led Central Cardiff Enterprise Zone Board is working with the strong support of Cardiff Council.
