‘Rising Star’ fellowships will be very prestigious and highly competitive positions, designed to attract the very best ‘rising stars’ of academic research.

These fellowships will provide support for researchers, 3-5 years postdoctoral experience, and returning to work following a career break.

Individual researchers, 3 – 5 years post PhD can apply for a fellowship by submitting an outline of the research they would like to carry out within a host institution in Wales.

Health and Care Research Wales funds a large infrastructure to support translational and applied health and social care research.
