Fizzy Foam

Dave Easterbrook started Fizzy Foam in 2012 while working as a freelance DJ on Bridge FM. With the help of his family, he founded his one-stop shop in Bridgend, specialising in body, bath and home products.

Fizzy Foam’s product range has expanded to include Bomb Cosmetics, Village Candles, Root Candles, Boozi Bodycare, and handmade Welsh gifts, amongst others.

Originally, Dave came up with the idea for the business while having a stall for 2 days at the “Love your Market” month in Bridgend Indoor Market. This encouraged him to put together a business plan and apply for a small stall.

After only six months of trading, the family decided that they needed a larger stall in order to grow further and be able to provide a larger range of products. Dave acknowledged that whilst the market is an ideal place to start a business and raise brand awareness, having their own premises on the high street would help them overcome a number of logistical and development challenges.

Consequently, Fizzy Foam moved to their current location in Bridgend town centre. They are constantly reviewing their existing product range, supply chain and distribution channels, and are planning for future growth.

Dave is currently focusing on entering new markets and is targeting hotels and suppliers of small wedding hampers.

How has Business Wales helped Fizzy Foam?

“Business Wales were great in helping us get our brand out there. The ongoing support we receive has proved invaluable for our business and we are extremely proud of what we have achieved.”

When Dave first contacted Business Wales, he was introduced to a business advisor. Subsequently, he was matched with a mentor who has supported Fizzy Foam with regular business and marketing reviews. The company has benefitted from assistance with turnover and profit projections and planning, sales targets and product range reviews.

Fizzy Foam has also attended a range of events in order to raise brand awareness and drive sales. Dave acknowledged that the ongoing help and support he receives from Business Wales has proved invaluable for his business.

The proudest moment in business

"Our proudest moment was being shortlisted in the top 3 businesses in the “Independent Retail Business of the Year” category at the Bridgend Business Forum Awards 2014."
