Webinar: Rules of Origin in the UK-EU trade deal

26 January 2021 - 26 January 2021
The UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement secured tariff-free trade for businesses trading between the UK and EU following the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020. However, to qualify for this tariff and quota-free trade, firms need to comply with Rules of Origin specified by the deal. This one-hour webinar will give an overview of these new rules.

Crop Cycle: Welsh Government fund the supply & installation of Controlled Environment Agriculture systems for the demonstration of community benefits across 4 sites in Wales

Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) is a process that combines plant science, engineering and technology to optimise plant growing, plant quality and production efficiency to provide a truly sustainable system of food growing. To date the approaches to CEA have been vastly different, un-co-ordinated and largely un-supported. Through this pilot we will offer real growth potential at a scale that is impactful, replicable and delivers wider benefits for the region.

New local e-commerce platform launched to help small independent food & drink retailers across north west Wales

21 January 2021
Siop.io is a local bilingual e-commerce platform that has been developed over the past year in order to provide a better way for independent food and drink retailers across Gwynedd and Anglesey to reach their local communities. Restaurants, pubs and takeaways will also shortly be able to benefit from the service, which will allow them to compete more effectively with supermarkets through the fulfilment of online orders placed locally.
