Illtud Dunsford and his family have been rearing, curing and air drying meats at their farm in the Gwendraeth valley for centuries and produce a stunning range of traditional pork sausages and hand salted air dried bacon.
All their products are organic and their pigs are fed on special non GM feed and raised to the highest welfare standards.
Illtud received Business Support from the Welsh Government which included mentoring and help with development work that allowed them to improve their business management. They also received a grant to help build a purpose built processing unit that has enabled them to develop the business further. Illtud helped in establishing a European protected food name for his ‘Traditionally Reared Pedigree Welsh Pork.’
