How can Food Innovation Wales help?

Project HELIX offers support that is tailored to your company’s needs.

Project HELIX delivers practical knowledge transfer activity, supporting Welsh companies to develop and reformulate innovative products from concept, design, development and manufacture, through to the consumer’s shopping basket.

Project HELIX works with Welsh companies to forensically analyse each step of the manufacturing process, identifying ways of reducing waste and introducing efficiencies across process controls, site design and systems development.

Project HELIX’s strategic approach enables food producers in Wales to benefit from best practice and industry intelligence from across the world. For example, companies can receive help to achieve third party certification such as BRCGS and SALSA, which open up new markets for their products.

Are you listed in the Welsh Food and Drink Directory?

The Welsh Food and Drink Directory contains entries from over 500 companies and exists to raise awareness and drive sales of Welsh products in the UK and across the world.

It’s free to be included, with both small and large companies featured in the directory. If you’re already listed then you can update your entry here.

Users can search for producers, co-packers, ingredient suppliers and packaging manufacturers based on location, BRCGS product category, supply channel, export capacity and certification.

In an effort to promote sustainable food production and waste efficiency, companies can advertise any outputs from their production process such as by-products or waste that may be of value to another business.
