Increasing diversity in the Welsh film and TV industry

We have gathered together some online resources to help individuals and employers to improve diversity in the Welsh film and TV industry.

The Creative Industries Sector Team in the Welsh Government has been looking into diversity in the film and TV industry. We commissioned Diverse Cymru to look into the issues. Details of the project – and how Diverse Cymru may be able to help you – can be found on their website.

Our locations service Wales Screen maintains a database of Welsh film and TV crew. This is used by productions filming in Wales, so could be your chance to get your name noticed by producers. Some broadcasters and production companies are now actively looking to recruit diverse individuals. We encourage everybody with relevant skills, including people from diverse backgrounds, to sign up to the database to register your skills and experience.
