Paul Christopher Maliphant

Paul is a business development specialist in professional services (engineering, development and management).  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Chartered and European Geologist and UK Registered Ground Engineering Advisor and is a past Vice President of the Geological Society and founder and twice chair of the society’s regional group in Wales.   He has been appointed as the sole non tertiary education specialist on the External Advisor Board of Cardiff University School of Earth and Ocean Sciences.   He is an accomplished speaker having presented for more than a dozen institutions and universities.  His 30+ year career has encompassed both mining and civil engineering working for industry, local government and private sector consultancy working particularly on land development, reclamation, regeneration, highway, rail, flood defence, landslide management and canal projects.  On projects Paul works mainly in project management and leadership roles with his principal activity being business development.  As a business development specialist, Paul has expertise that adds value across a very wide range of opportunities acting as client relations developer; sales leader; effective bid leader; commercial leader; facilitator; wordsmith or reviewer.
