Is your business vulnerable to a Cyber Attack?
Companies across the world rely on the internet everyday to drive their businesses. Some companies, however big or small, are leaving themselves vulnerable to cyber attacks which can cripple everyday business and in some cases permanently damage a company’s credibility. The companies who rise above in these cases are companies who can demonstrate integrity to their customers by reducing vulnerability to cyber attacks.
The Cyber Essentials Scheme has been set up to help companies in the UK tighten their internet security. The scheme works with companies to help implement or build upon security measures to help reduce vulnerability in the most cost –effective way. Covering areas such as :
- Common Threats
- Basic Cyber Protection
- Access Control
- Account Control
Cyber essentials has 2 stages
Stage 1 – Cyber Essentials: verified self-assessment
Certification is awarded on the basis of a verified self-assessment. An organisation undertakes their own assessment of their implementation of the Cyber Essentials control themes
Stage 2 – Cyber Essentials Plus: independently tested
A higher level of assurance is offered through the external testing of the organisation’s cyber security approach. Given the more resource intensive nature of this process Cyber Essentials Plus will cost more than the foundation Cyber Essentials certification.
