Meet the Buyer event – Railway Industry

Spanish manufacturer CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) has confirmed it will start building trains in a new factory in south Wales.

A ‘Meet the Buyer’ event for CAF will take place on 30 January 2018 at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.

CAF are keen to maximise UK suppliers within their supply chain and are looking for business that can supply the following materials:

  • fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) parts: window frames, train front ends, bogie covers, cabinets and other interior FRP parts

  • passenger and driver seats

  • windows and glazing

  • sheet metal parts, such as ceilings

  • casting parts

  • metal rubber parts and anti-roll bar systems

  • machined parts (suppliers with capacity to machine profiles)

  • lighting systems

  • windscreen wiper systems

And the following systems:

  • HV protection and earthing switches

  • current and voltage transducers

  • passenger Information Systems and CCTV

  • heat and ventilation

  • exterior doors

  • fire detection systems
