The Awards reward outstanding and innovative renewable energy projects.
Through the scheme and related activities, the Ashden Awards aim is to address the urgent global issues of climate change, pollution and energy supply, as well as the social and economic needs of local communities across the globe.
In 2017 there will be 7 International Awards. The winners will receive prize funds of up to £20,000 each. There will also be up to 4 UK Awards, each of which comes with a prize of £10,000. Some of the benefits for the winners will be:
- tailored help from a support team to take the work
- a broadcast quality video about the Award-winning work
- introductions to influential policy makers
The deadline for receipt of applications for the 2017 Awards is 8 November 2016.
