Lone workers can be at greater risk of harm as they may not have anyone to help them if things go wrong.
Employers should provide training, supervision, monitoring and support for those working alone.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have produced guidance for anyone who employs lone workers or engages them as contractors. It includes advices on work-related violence, keeping in touch and the impact of lone working on stress and mental health.
Please visit the HSE website for further information.
