The Surveillance Camera Commissioner has launched an online toolbox – a collection of resources to help organisations comply with the surveillance camera code of practice and follow good practice and legal requirements.
The toolbox comprises of 4 tools:
the buyers toolkit – for small and medium enterprises that are thinking about using surveillance cameras
the passport to compliance – aimed at large public-space surveillance camera systems
the self-assessment tool – to help organisations identify compliance with the surveillance camera code of practice
the surveillance camera specific data protection impact assessment template – guidance notes developed with the Information Commissioner’s Office and reflects updated data protection requirements set out in General Data Protection Regulation
