The Voluntary Services Emergency Fund

The Welsh Government has made grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 available to voluntary organisations that are providing vital support to communities during the coronavirus crisis.

The aim of the Voluntary Services Emergency Fund is to ensure organisations have the resources they need to maintain, increase and adapt activities that support the vulnerable and disadvantaged in their communities, such as:

  • people in isolation
  • the elderly
  • carers
  • people struggling to access food

Funding can be used for smaller capital or revenue expenditure, e.g. PPE, but the request must follow the grant’s aims of maintaining or increasing voluntary services for vulnerable individuals and communities affected by coronavirus.

Funding will initially be for up to six months and applications can be submitted at any time.
