World Vegan Day is an annual event celebrated by vegans around the world every 1 November.
Founding members coined the term 'vegan' in 1944. World Vegan Day was created to mark the 50th anniversary of the society, held on 1 November 1994. It is a time to celebrate the vegan community and the steps that were taken towards making veganism mainstream.
