Green Connections

Green Connections is a programme of environmental learning activities that encourages responsible action to be undertaken to better the environment and develop understanding of how our decisions and actions affect the landscapes around us. It builds knowledge and skills to better enjoy nature and the outdoors, enabling us to provide good stewardship keeping our environment healthy and sustainable.

Green Connections participants will have opportunities to explore, learn and enjoy the outdoors, an activity programme will be coproduced with local community groups and individuals, activities may include - nature trails, mini beast safaris, stargazing, bush-craft, flora and fauna identification, den building etc.

Green Connections will provide many opportunities and experiences that increase people’s appreciation for the outdoors, getting involved with and taking care of our environment through activities such as litter picks and path clearances. Participants will be drawn from the Ynysybwl area although activities will be open to all, we will also target groups such as dads and lads and lasses, intergenerational work, wild women etc.

Green Connections will inspire people and communities to act for nature, providing opportunities to undertake inspiring, nature based outdoor learning activities for all ages and abilities “adding value to local identity and natural and cultural resources”
