Sgil Cymru is Wales' leading media training provider and offers apprenticeships in Creative and Digital Media in Wales. Based at Great Point - Seren Stiwdios in Cardiff, the team has almost 75 years combined experience in bilingual media training and production.

NFTS Cymru opened in 2021 delivering a wide range of the National Film and Television School’s world-class training courses and also offers bespoke courses, designed and delivered to support the breadth of talent in Wales. Located in the heart of the Welsh film and TV industry within the BBC Wales building in central Cardiff.

ScreenSkills  is the industry skills body for the Creative Industries covering the whole of the UK. They work across film, TV, radio, fashion and textiles, animation, games, VFX, publishing, advertising and marketing communications. Working with and for the Creative Industries to develop skills and talent, supporting productivity and employability.   



Ffilm Cymru Wales offers their 'Foot in the Door' scheme to kickstart creative careers, finding and creating local opportunities to learn and develop valuable skills such as such as carpentry, costume, and hair/make-up on the set of film and TV productions in Wales. These types of skills and roles exist not only in film and TV, but also in the broader creative industries and beyond.

BECTU Wales 

The UK's media and entertainment trade union; sectors covered include broadcasting, film, independent production, theatre and the arts, live events, leisure and digital media. Career development courses available through BECTU are provided at low cost. Whilst in most cases the courses on our bespoke list are open to members and non-members.
