Wales Screen is a small but dedicated and knowledgeable team within the Creative Industries sector of the Welsh Government. Established in 2002 (as the Wales Screen Commission) we have assisted thousands of productions over the years. If you need any advice about locations or filming in Wales in general, please get in touch.

Wales Screen works with international and domestic projects of all shapes and sizes. From short films to feature films, photo-shoots to commercials, documentaries to dramas, and provides invaluable assistance to productions filming in Wales.

An extraordinarily big help to any production company looking to shoot on location in Wales. Their links with the council, their knowledge of the region and ability to provide options and suggestions for even the most far-fetched location brief is an absolute godsend.

Allison Dowzell

Wales Screen Manager

Her favourite location in Wales is...

“Nash Point in the Vale of Glamorgan, the dramatic coastline and stunning views make it for me one of the very best locations in Wales and of course it was used by Bryan Adams for his music video of the song (Everything I Do) I Do It for You.”

Penny Skuse

Wales Screen – South Office (Cardiff)

Her favourite location in Wales is…

“I would have to say Marloes Sands in Pembrokeshire. I spent a few days down there when they were filming Snow White and the Huntsman a few years ago and it was simply stunning. Meeting Chris Hemsworth was a bit of a bonus as well!”

Arwyn Williams

Wales Screen – North Office (Caernarfon)

His favourite location in Wales is…

“My favourite location would be Nant Gwynant. The view you get of the valley once you drive past Pen y Pass towards Pen y Gwryd is truly a beautiful and spectacular one.”
