Raven Delta Group, based in Swansea, is revolutionising the way we think about buildings. Instead of seeing them as static structures, the Group treats them as dynamic environments that directly impact our health, well-being, and productivity. Founded by Group CEO Dave Kieft, Raven Delta brings together several specialist companies under one unified mission: to improve indoor environmental quality (IEQ), ensure compliance, and drive long-term sustainability.
Serving sectors such as education, healthcare, defence, and commercial property, Raven Delta Group has grown to employ over 200 staff, with the majority based in Wales. It generates annual revenues of around £20 million. With ambitious plans for international growth and a strong reputation for innovation, the Group is fast becoming a thought leader in creating healthier built environments.
Here, Dave shares how support from the Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP) helped turn a successful group of businesses into a unified, purpose-led organisation capable of leading nationally and internationally.

How has AGP helped Raven Delta Group grow?
AGP has been a critical partner in helping us grow with purpose. They supported us during a major transition, as we moved from a collection of individual businesses into a single group with a unified vision. Their mentoring helped us refine our strategy, improve leadership cohesion, and present a united brand to the market.
We were also able to explore new markets with greater confidence thanks to AGP’s guidance around innovation, offer development, and business planning. It’s no exaggeration to say they helped us become future-ready.
The most valuable support came in the form of strategic mentoring. AGP helped us map out how to align our businesses, articulate our value proposition, and identify the necessary infrastructure for sustainable growth.
Their guidance on innovation and leadership development also helped accelerate our plans. We moved faster and with greater confidence than we could have on our own.
What sets Raven Delta Group apart in your sector?
It’s our holistic approach. While most providers focus on individual aspects such as maintenance or air quality, we offer a comprehensive model that integrates health, safety, performance, and sustainability. That’s what today’s clients need: integrated thinking and measurable outcomes.
What challenges did you face during your scaling journey?
Our biggest challenge was integration. Each business had its own systems, culture, and operational approach. Creating group-wide consistency across processes, branding, and infrastructure was a major task.
We also had to rethink how we delivered our services. Moving from a reactive, task-based model to a proactive, long-term partnership approach with clients required structural and cultural changes. AGP’s advice gave us a clear roadmap and confidence during that shift.
Have you introduced new services or grown the team since working with AGP?
Yes, significantly. One of our most significant moves was the acquisition of MedicAir, which enables us to deliver immediate air purification solutions in conjunction with our diagnostic and monitoring services. This means we can now offer clients a comprehensive end-to-end solution in indoor air quality, something very few providers can offer.
We’ve also created more than 50 new jobs since joining AGP, hiring across engineering, compliance, digital, and leadership roles.
What milestones are you most proud of?
Our contribution to the creation of BS40102-1, the UK’s first national standard for indoor environmental quality, stands out. It reflects our leadership in this space and our commitment to future generations.
That work has also opened doors internationally, particularly in Europe, the Middle East, and North America, where we’re now engaging with regulators and industry bodies to share best practice and expand our reach.
What role does innovation play in your business strategy?
Innovation is central to our success. From AI-enabled air quality tools to smart compliance platforms, we’re constantly evolving our offer. AGP helped us turn ideas into deliverable services, providing clarity on how to structure innovation and bring it to market quickly.
What advice would you give other entrepreneurs considering AGP?
Be open and honest. AGP is there to support your specific journey, not to offer one-size-fits-all advice. The more transparent you are about your needs, the more value you’ll get. Use the world-class support from AGP to shape your next steps and avoid costly mistakes.
What are your goals for the next five years?
We want to be the recognised UK leader in healthy buildings and a trusted international partner in indoor environmental quality. We’ll get there by investing in people, continuing to innovate, and working with forward-thinking clients and regulators.
