Changes to the Kickstart scheme

You can use the Kickstart Scheme to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

The UK Government has removed 30-job threshold from Kickstart scheme. If you are an employer looking to create 29 or less jobs placements for young people, apply for funding as part of the Kickstart Scheme.

You can apply directly by submitting an online application.

You can also choose to apply through a Kickstart gateway, including those supporting sole traders.

Kickstart gateways already working with the scheme can continue to add more employers and job placements to their grant agreement.
