Get rapid lateral flow COVID-19 tests if you do not have symptoms

All those who cannot work from home are being encouraged to access lateral flow self-test as they are rolled out across Wales.

The rapid coronavirus testing kits will be available to collect from the local test sites across Wales from Friday 16 April 2021. You can get testing kits for yourself and your household.

Each person can collect 2 packs of 7 LFD self-test kits for home use. You do not need an appointment. Test centres are open for collection 7 days a week.

The rapid lateral flow tests are only suitable for people who do not have coronavirus symptoms. If you have COVID-19 symptoms you need to book a PCR test.

Volunteers and those unable to work from home can order a lateral flow self-test kit online

From Monday 26 April 2021 volunteers and those who are unable to work from home can order a lateral flow self-test kit to be delivered direct to their home. People can order a test from Get rapid lateral flow COVID-19 tests if you do not have symptoms.

Improving the availability of lateral flow tests will make regular asymptomatic testing for coronavirus more convenient and accessible for people not covered under existing schemes at workplaces, childcare settings, schools, colleges and universities.

Lateral flow self-tests are also available to collect from certain test sites across Wales, no appointment is needed. Details of the collection sites and opening times can be found here.
