Do you know where your waste is going?

Refuse Sack

As a business owner you are responsible for the safe management and disposal of your business waste.

How you manage your waste could cost your business dearly in terms of money and reputation, if not disposed of correctly.

Visit the Right Waste Right Place website for detailed information on how to dispose of business waste and to help you understand your responsibilities.

If you produce, carry, import, keep, treat or dispose of waste, you have a legal duty of care to make sure your waste is handled safely and only passed to people authorised to receive it.

If you carry waste as part of your business, you will need to register as a waste carrier. Visit the Waste Carriers page for more information.

If your waste is collected by anyone else, it is your responsibility to make sure they are a registered waste carrier and that they are taking your waste to a site authorised to accept it.

Whether you are a householder, private landlord, business owner, waste carrier, or member of the community, Fly Tipping Action Wales offers the advice you need to dispose of your waste safely, legally and responsibly: Advice (flytippingactionwales.org)

Fly-tipping Action Wales is a partnership initiative, sponsored by the Welsh Government and coordinated by Natural Resources Wales to tackle fly-tipping.
