The Welsh Government have announced a further £110 million of financial support for businesses affected by the latest restrictions, which came into effect on Sunday 20 December 2020. Hospitality, non-essential retail, tourism, leisure and supply chain businesses will be eligible for financial assistance. The furlough scheme has been extended and the UK Government will continue to pay 80% of the salary of employees for hours not worked until the end of April 2021. Employers will only be required to pay wages, National Insurance Contributions (NICS) and pensions for hours worked; and NICS and pensions for hours not worked.
