Anelu Aim Higher was founded by Stephen Jones with the aim of providing quality, bilingual outdoor activities across Snowdonia but also other parts of the UK in summer and winter.
An outdoor enthusiast and with over 35 years experience in the outdoors, he brings a depth of knowledge and a variety of instructional skills to all activities from mountain courses to schools and bushcraft sessions.
He is a qualified Summer and Winter Mountain Leader, Bushcraft Instructor and Rock Climbing Instructor, a member of the Mountain Training Association and Mountaineering Scotland. He holds the Gold Award for the Eryri Ambassador Scheme.
Stephen is active in maintaining and enhancing his skill base which includes personal development and ensuring that he stays aware of current best practise in the outdoor industry, new ideas and latest updates.
Our freelance staff are all known personally to Stephen, they live in various parts of Snowdonia and North Wales, are experienced, qualified, insured and have a First Aid qualification.
Some are also members of different Mountain Rescue Teams in North Wales, hold additional relevant qualifications and all have an active interest in the outdoors.
They also share in the vision of the company so regardless of who is leading your activity you'll receive the same high standard of customer care and delivery.
We are an authorized provider under the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority (AALA), which allows us to offer adventurous activities to under 18s including schools, youth groups, scout groups and families.
Our company name is bilingual - Anelu is the Welsh version combined with the English: Aim Higher.
As a local company working in North Wales, all our staff are local and bilingual which demonstrates our readiness to invest in local people who in turn contribute to their local communities.
