Woman being harassed

Free courses are available during 2024 and 2026 to help you deal with potential harmful situations such as sexual harassment in public places.

Have you ever heard a joke, comment or insult against women or girls and wished you'd said something to challenge it?

Maybe you've seen something you weren't okay with but did not have the confidence or skills to intervene?

When we see or hear unwanted comments that degrade women and girls, which are often disguised as ‘banter’ and do nothing, we empower the harasser. For example, sexism, misogyny, harassment or other unwanted comments. When we let these things pass, we create a culture in which others feel able to take it further.

Bystander intervention training gives you the skills and confidence to have conversations with your friends and colleagues on these issues.

Industry experts Kindling Transformative Interventions, Plan International UK and Beyond Equality are providing the training.

Anyone can do bystander intervention training. We are providing this training free to:

  • organisations
  • community groups
  • sports teams
  • education settings
  • workplaces

Courses are available in both English and Welsh.
