Ffilm Cymru funds the development and production of live-action, documentary and animated short films for cinema audiences, led by Wales born or based directors.
Beacons fund combines National Lottery funds delegated via the Arts Council of Wales and BFI NETWORK funds delegated via the British Film Institute.
Who can apply:
- Writer, director (or writer-director) and producer teams
- Writer and director teams (or lone writer-directors) where no producer is currently attached
The director on the project must have been born in Wales and/or be based in Wales. Writers, directors and producers should be able to demonstrate a creative track record in their role (in film or another relevant art form) but must not have already directed a feature film that has received a commercial distribution deal.
You can apply for up to £25,000 to make a single live action, animation, documentary, or hybrid film of up to 15 minutes in length that is geared towards cinema audiences.
