Apply to the Climate Conversations Grant fund to hold your own community event during or after Wales Climate Week.
The Climate Conversations fund is a Welsh Government grant.
Organisations with ties to communities can apply for funding to hold local events. The fund aims to gather evidence and insights from the general public. These insights then inform Welsh Government decision-making on climate change.
Successful applicants will be required to cover a series of set questions with participants. These will be linked to one or more of the following topics:
- Housing
- Transport
- Agriculture and land use
To be eligible for funding The Climate Conversations Fund is open to organisations with links to communities and members of the public across Wales. Priority will be given to events that engage marginalised groups, including:
- Ethnic minorities and migrants
- LGBTQIA+ individuals
- Disabled people
- Digitally excluded people
- Children and young people
- Older people
- Farmers and rural groups
- Lower socio-economic communities
- Welsh-speaking communities
- People in precarious living situations, your event must cover at least one of the three themes.
Priority will be given to organisations with strong community ties and people with lived experiences. This includes:
- Local government organisations, e.g., local authorities and town councils
- Third-sector non-profits like environmental groups and charities
- Organisations representing marginalised groups.
- Education providers, including colleges and universities
- Business networks
Your event should be held between Monday 17 November 2025 and Friday 27 February 2026.
The fund excludes applications made for commercial purposes, and from social media influencers.
