Applications are now open for the next cohort of Creative Clusters, in the second round of commissioning for this successful Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) portfolio.

Over £27 million worth of funding will be split across successful applicants, with the maximum award per project being nearly £7 million.

Each cluster must:

  • address a clear challenge in a specific geographical region, sub-sector or both
  • focus on creating new products, services, or experiences with commercial potential
  • AHRC will fund 80% of the full economic cost (FEC).

The funding will last for five years. You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for AHRC funding.

This is a two-stage process. Successful applicants to the outline stage will be invited to develop a full application.

Closing date is 4pm on 3 March 2026.
