Design Exchange Partnerships (DEPs) are three-way collaborative projects which bring together early career design researchers, an academic supervisor and a non-academic organisation, such as a small business or public sector organisation.
Apply for this latest round of grant funding to develop design-led solutions (products, services, and systems) that address challenges facing biodiversity in the UK. The partnerships must demonstrate a tangible impact on local communities by stimulating the real-world application of high-quality arts and humanities-led design research that addresses the challenges of achieving green transition goals.
Applications are welcome from broad interpretations of the theme of biodiversity, including but not limited to one or more of the following areas:
- natural resources
- materials
- land or marine use
- health and wellbeing
- regeneration and planning
The full economic (FEC) cost of each project can be up to £62,500 for six months or £125,000 for 12 months, plus a 5 to 10% contribution from the non-academic partner organisation. The Arts and Humanities Research Council will fund 80% FEC.
The closing date for applications is 14 September 2023 at 4pm.
