The first phase of the Digital Construction Wales toolkit has been launched.
The Digital Construction Wales Toolkit is for the built environment sector in Wales, delivered by Constructing Excellence in Wales (CEWales) and funded by the Welsh Government.
What it does:
- Places your firm on the sector wheel, so the guidance suits the work you do.
- Builds your Digital Profile: a picture of how your firm works digitally today.
- A library of guidance, templates and standards, each reviewed before it appears.
- Welsh case studies: proof from firms like yours, on jobs like yours. These are being gathered now.
- An AI assistant, planned, to answer plain questions from the library and about the job in front of you.
The site is currently designed to help form a picture of construction in Wales, and how firms currently make use of digital tools, processes and systems. It’s not just for big contractors or consultants, it’s looking to form a picture of all those that work across the built environment, including supply chains and manufacturers.
Once sufficient people and firms registered, the toolkit will be refined and provide support to those who wish to understand if digital tools might help them unlock future work, greater efficiency or opportunities, as well to see where some things might be more “digital” than they need.
