The Department of Business and Trade (DBT) are organising a series of roundtables on unpaid carers in employment throughout the UK.
Providing care can cover many different circumstances, including providing support for an elderly parent, caring for a partner with a long term health condition or looking after a child with a disability.
DBT want to hear from senior managers, HR leaders and trade and industry bodies about what has worked in supporting people to navigate working while caring for a loved one.
There will be two roundtables in Cardiff on the 11 February 2025.
Details below:
- A morning session, from 10am to 12pm, aimed at businesses and business representative organisations to understand what they have found effective in supporting unpaid carers in work, and any associated challenges they have encountered in their businesses.
