Get set for Gift Aid Awareness Day 2024

Gift - present wrapped in green paper with a red ribbon

In July 2024, the UK government published its annual charity tax relief statistics. The figures show that although the amount of Gift Aid claimed had increased to £1.6 billion, 1,310 fewer charities had benefited.

The Charity Finance Group (CFG) want every eligible charity to make the most of this vital tax relief, and reduce the amount of Gift Aid that goes unclaimed every year – around £560 million.

Gift Aid Awareness Day will be held on Thursday, 3 October 2024 and charities are being urged to get involved by spreading the #TickTheBox message on social media and in charity retail stores.

Whatever your charity’s purpose, Gift Aid Awareness Day is the day you remind your supporters how important it is to #TickTheBox.

The message to all on the day is: You help us to help even more when you #TickTheBox.
