Global Recycling Day will take place on Friday 18 March 2022 and this year’s theme is #RecyclingHeroes.
It recognises the people, places and activities that showcase how the Seventh Resource and recycling contribute to an environmentally stable planet and a greener future for all.
Every year, the Earth yields billions of tons of natural resources and at some point, in the not too distant future, it will run out.
That’s why we must think again about what we throw away – seeing not waste, but opportunity.
There are plenty of ways to get involved in Global Recycling Day by organising your own events, helping to promote Global Recycling Day by sharing activities on social media.
Why not set up a workplace recycling scheme?
Typically, at least 50% to 70% of the office waste that is currently disposed of as general waste in your bins is either avoidable, re-usable or recyclable but introducing a recycling scheme in your workplace is easier than you think!
