Global Recycling Day 2026

Recycling symbol and planet earth

Global Recycling Day will take place on 18 March 2026.

It recognises the people, places and activities that showcase how the Seventh Resource and recycling contribute to an environmentally stable planet and a greener future for all.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in Global Recycling Day by organising your own events, helping to promote Global Recycling Day by sharing activities on social media.

Workplace recycling has changed, it is law for all businesses, charities and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling.

It also applies to all waste and recycling collectors and processors who manage household-like waste from workplaces: Workplace recycling | GOV.WALES.

Workplaces will also need to separate their small waste electrical items for recycling from 6 April 2026.

You’ll find a guide to the changes on WRAP’s Business of Wales Recycling website.
