Gwobrau Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd is back for 2026 – celebrating the most Welsh-speaking businesses and initiatives across ARFOR (Gwynedd, Anglesey, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire).
So, if you know of a business or initiative in ARFOR that is thriving through the Welsh language and contributing to the future of the language in the region, nominate them.
You have until 30 January 2026 to submit nominations, here is an overview of the categories:
- Cyfryngau Cymdeithasol Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd – for those leading the way in their use of the Welsh language on social media.
- Ieuenctid Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd – for young people who have received support from the ARFOR Programme to bring a Welsh business, project or initiative to life.
- Gofod Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd – this could be a café, shop, theatre, hair salon or any other Welsh-speaking space.
- Cynnyrch Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd – from food and drink to clothing, books or gifts; the possibilities are endless for the Welshest produce.
- Busnes Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd – an award for businesses where Welsh is truly an intrinsic part of their identity.
- Menter Gymdeithasol Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd – for a social enterprise that not only uses the language but actively celebrates it.
- Tacsis Mwyaf Cymraeg y Byd – because taxis are essential to ARFOR’s economy, connecting businesses and communities in rural areas.
