M-SParc and the Welsh Government are working together to host the third Welsh Language Hack. Access to investment from a fund of £24,000 is available to the winning ideas.
This is an exciting opportunity for innovators and tech enthusiasts to contribute to the use of the Welsh language, by piloting a technology solution that increases the use of Welsh in digital environments. Supporting and encouraging learners and allowing first language Welsh speakers to use more Welsh in their day-to-day lives.
How will it work?
It is understood this may not be enough to make a fully functioning new product, but it could be enough to:
- Expand an existing service
- Add tools to existing services
- Create a proof of concept
- Fund research and development
- Create a pilot
What do I need to do?
Register for the event on the 22 February 2024, where you’ll find out more about what they’re looking for. It’s a good idea to join this event even if you’ve already completed the google form. You might discover essential information!
Once you’ve submitted an application, you’ll get to know if you’re through to the pitching round! This takes place on 1 March 2024 and you’ll pitch live to an audience and panel of judges. The winner(s) will be announced live on the day!
