The Historic Buildings Capital Grant Programme is a new Cadw funded grant focusing on the repair of listed buildings at risk or in a vulnerable condition; to safeguard their significance, enhance condition, support beneficial use and ensure their long-term maintenance.
The Historic Building Capital Grant Programme can fund 50% of eligible works (up to a maximum of £250,000) and aims to invest essential capital in heritage at risk to help owners and custodians to safeguard listed buildings at risk into the future for the benefit of the wider community.
The scheme will operate a two-stage application process:
- Stage 1: An invitation to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
- Stage 2: Successful applicants will be asked to work up and submit a full application
Second stage applications must be consistent with the proposals outlined in the approved Expression of Interest.
Stages 1 and 2 will be competitive and a successful Expression of Interest does not guarantee funding at Stage 2.
The timetable for the grant scheme is as follows:
- Stage 1 Expressions of Interest (EOI) submissions by: 23 December 2022
- Stage 1 Expressions of Interest decisions issued by: 10 February 2023
