The Enginuity Technical Solutions Team is currently undertaking a UK-wide review of three cross-sector National Occupational Standards (NOS):
- Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements
- Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation
- Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering
These standards play an important role in defining the skills, knowledge and understanding required to achieve occupational competence and underpin a wide range of vocational qualifications and apprenticeship programmes across the UK.
As part of the review process, Enginuity is seeking feedback from employers, training providers, awarding organisations, professional bodies and other interested stakeholders to help ensure the standards remain current, accurate and aligned with modern industry practices.
Remote Consultation Events:
- Wednesday 21 October 2026 - 10am to 11am
- Wednesday 25 November 2026 - 10am to 11am
These sessions will provide an opportunity to:

- Identify any outdated practices, technologies or references
- Highlight emerging industry requirements and future skills needs
- Share feedback and recommendations directly with the review team
If you would like to attend either of the consultation events, please register your interest by emailing nos@enginuity.org
Please indicate which session you wish to attend and a Microsoft Teams invitation will be issued closer to the event date.
