National Occupational Standards and Qualifications Review – Energy and Utility Sector

Utility worker - pipes and gaswork

Energy and Utility Skills is looking for industry representatives to help review the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the energy and utilities sector.

The following NOS suites will be under review during 2024 to 2025:

  • Utility Management Skills
  • Gas Network Engineering Management
  • Sewerage Maintenance
  • Recycling Activities

NOS are fundamental in the development of qualifications, in house training programmes and apprenticeship frameworks.

Whether you’re an employer, training provider, or part of a professional body, your insights are crucial, as your expertise can help ensure the NOS remain up to date and reflect the skills and knowledge that is needed in the different roles.

A series of launch sessions will be held during September, followed by focus group sessions to review each of the NOS suites.
