The Market Sounding Questionnaire and Survey, Offshore Wind Sector Engagement 2025, is part of the Welsh Government’s market engagement programme to understand the capabilities, capacity, and appetite of the Welsh supply chain.
This is a significant opportunity, as the offshore wind sector is rapidly growing, and businesses across Wales have the chance to get involved at multiple levels. You may have expertise in areas that you wouldn’t traditionally associate with offshore wind which could be highly transferable to this sector.
The feedback will inform future strategies to ensure Welsh businesses, especially SMEs, are well-positioned to support the development of an Offshore Wind sector across Wales. The aim is to maximise involvement in installation, construction, manufacturing, and support services. Driving economic growth, fair work, and advancing net zero and renewable energy goals.
